NBA DFS Playoff Primer: Tuesday, April 25
The NBA postseason is finally upon us. We no longer have to worry about players resting, late scratches, and teams trying to lose. For the next couple of months, we get meaningful basketball game after meaningful basketball game. We have decided to combine the Core Plays and the Grind Down into one all-encompassing article for the NBA playoffs. We will break down each slate, sift through the game flow trackers of prior meetings between teams, cover the notable matchups, and provide our favorite NBA DFS targets.
Happy Tuesday everyone! If you had Jimmy Butler in your lineup(s) last night, it was hard to lose. If you paired him up with Brook Lopez (I did not), you were sitting pretty in any and all contests. How about the basketball last night? Butler went into superhero mode and led the Heat to a double-digit fourth quarter comeback. It was one of the most impressive playoff performances we have seen in a long time. The later game between the Lakers and Grizzlies went into overtime with Los Angeles escaping with a win thanks to some big plays down the stretch from LeBron James. After such a lackluster regular season, we deserved a good playoffs and that’s exactly what we have gotten so far.
We have three game fives on tap tonight and all of them feature large spreads. The home team in each game has the chance to move onto the second round, so it will be interesting to see how the underdogs react. This is typically a situation where a team puts up one last fight or waives the white towel early and the game turns into a blowout.
