Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Friday!
About 10 years ago, one of my best friends moved to California. While the rest of the group has done our best to stay close over the years, it’s not easy as you get older. Everyone has kids and their own responsibilities, so it’s hard to find time that works for everyone.
Anyway, our friend few into town last night and we all decided to go to the bar to watch the Cowboys-Seahawks game. I thought about ditching in order to catch up on work, but felt the need to go. It was the most I have laughed in years. And we even hit a 6-leg same game parlay that we all got to sweat together.
The morale of the story is to always make time for friends and loved ones. It’s good for the soul.
Now, let’s talk some basketball. We have a rather light 6-game slate on tap tonight. The Knicks and the Spurs are the only teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back, while there are six teams playing in the front end of a back-to-back. I don’t want to jinx it, but we don’t have a ton of key injuries to monitor early in the day.

Team Previews
Washington Wizards (at ORL): We start the 6-game slate off with the Wizards, who are 3-15 on the season. While we like targeting players against Washington, we don’t necessarily love targeting players from this team. They are volatile as individuals and as a team. To make matters worse, they are facing the Magic, who are 14th in pace and 3rd in defensive rating. Unless an injury pops up before lock, this isn’t a team that I will be looking to target.
Orlando Magic (vs. WAS): The Magic are 8-1 at home this season and draw the best matchup on the slate. The Wizards are 2nd in pace and 28th in defensive rating, which explains why Orlando’s implied total is 10.2 points above their season average. As far as injuries go, Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter are both still out. The two obvious targets here are Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, but we’ve seen some nice outings from Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony, and Goga Bitadze recently.
