NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Friday, December 29th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Friday everyone, we have finally made it to the weekend!
We have 10 games on the schedule tonight, but as we’ve seen a couple of times over the last two weeks, FanDuel and DraftKings have decided to leave the late games off the main slate. This means that the Spurs-Blazers (again) and the Grizzlies-Clippers won’t be featured on the main slate. I will still include them in the team previews, but we will focus most of our attention on the 8 games that are on the main slate.

Team Previews
New York Knicks (at ORL): We kick off this 8-game slate with the Knicks, who are 17-13 on the season. They have a lot of nice wins on their resume, but also a number of bad losses. They draw a difficult matchup against the Magic, who are 7th in rebounding rate and 5th in defensive rating. The Knicks have a team total that is considerably lower than their season average.
The Knicks are still without two of their centers, which means another start for Isaiah Hartenstein. He hasn’t been great in his starts, but he’ll likely keep this role for the rest of the season. Julius Randle has been held to 40 or fewer fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 games, while Jalen Brunson has averaged 50 fantasy points over his last 3 games. I’m not prioritizing anyone on the Knicks, but Brunson is my preferred target here.
