A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

The weekend is finally here! I have a fun night planned for my little man, as the Jazz are hosting a little party at an arcade/bowling alley for season ticket holders. I’m not a season ticket holder myself, but my dad’s work has some and they let us have the tickets. We get to meet the team, we get dinner, and we get to play games for a few hours. Minus the dinner, this would be a dream scenario in my childhood. My little one doesn’t love sports as much as I do, but he’s a big fan of the arcade, so it’s a win-win.

We have 10 games on the schedule tonight but only 9 of them are included on the main slates for FanDuel and DraftKings. The Blazers-Nuggets game isn’t a super late start, but since it’s the only game tipping off after 8:00 PM ET, the sites decided to leave it off the main slates. We have two teams playing in the front half of a back-to-back (Pacers, Grizzlies) and four teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Warriors, Hawks, Kings, Spurs).

Team Previews

Los Angeles Clippers (at DET): We kick off tonight’s big slate with the Clippers, who have been one of the best teams in basketball over the last couple of months. They draw an elite matchup tonight against the Pistons, who are 7th in pace and 29th in defensive rating. The Clippers have a team total that is 4.9 points above their season average. They are still without Ivica Zubac but should have Paul George back for tonight’s game. We only have George projected for 30 minutes, which makes him a tough sell despite the price point. James Harden and Kawhi Leonard are both positive values in the projections, but I wouldn’t consider them to be priorities on this slate. Norman Powell has averaged 23 fantasy points over his last 4 games if you want to look his way in tournaments.

Detroit Pistons (vs. LAC): The Pistons are only 6-41 on the season and are on a great path toward having the best odds at the next number one draft pick. Tonight they host the Clippers, who are 25th in pace and 11th in defensive rating. The Pistons have a team total that is very close to their season average. Isaiah Stewart is set to miss some time, but his absence doesn’t open a ton in the frontcourt. Jalen Duren projects the best of anyone on Detroit and he has a negative RGValue. Kevin Knox is garnering a little bit of ownership due to his $3,100 price point on DraftKings, but hopefully, there are better value plays to choose from tonight.
