NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Friday, November 10th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
The weekend is finally here and for the first time all week, we finally have a reasonably-sized slate. We’ve had some extremely large and extremely small slates so far, so it’s nice to see a 9-game slate mixed in on Friday. We don’t have to worry about any teams having a rest advantage, as none of the teams are playing in the second half of a back-to-back and only one of the teams is playing in the front end of a back-to-back.
If you play NFL DFS like the rest of us, make sure to check out the new SimLabs tool we have here at RotoGrinders. I have seen quite a few screenshots from members and from coworkers. It’s easy to use and it helps build quality lineups that correlate and that make sense in the type of contest that you are entering. After playing DFS for 10+ years, I have learned the importance of being able to adapt. DFS is heading this direction, so it’s better to be early to the party.
Anyone have fun plans this weekend? I’m looking forward to not having many plans. I am doing the kids-free Friendsgiving on Saturday, but am otherwise free. I plan to watch as much football as humanly possible and will be sure to sneak in some Super Mario Wonder with the little one.

Team Previews
Philadelphia 76ers (at DET): The Sixers enter tonight’s game at full strength and are coming off of a big win against the Celtics. They are 6-1 on the season with one of the best point differentials (+11.7) in the NBA. Tonight they square off against the Pistons, who haven’t been as good of a matchup as they were last season. Detroit is 14th in pace and 16th in defensive rating. Joel Embiid projects as a strong option for both cash games and tournaments, while I don’t mind looking to Tyrese Maxey as a differentiator.
Detroit Pistons (vs.. PHI): The Pistons have lost six in a row and are only 2-7 in the standings, but they have been much more competitive this season. Their point differential is better than 10 teams in the NBA, so don’t put too much stock into their record. Tonight they host the Sixers, who are 12th in pace and 4th in defensive rating. This is one of the only games on the schedule where both teams are projected to score less than their season average. There’s not much that stands out here, but Ausar Thompson and Cade Cunningham are decent tournament plays with Jaden Ivey and Alec Burks out.
