NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Friday, October 27th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
We are three slates into the season and we have been absolutely coasting when it comes to injury news. This has been a breeze. It’s almost as relaxing as sitting by the beach with your drink of choice. While I have enjoyed the first three days, I have been around long enough to know that it is the calm before the storm.
I had another solid slate yesterday. I mentioned in the RG Discord that the optimal lineup in LineupHQ was too good to pass up and it ended up cashing with ease in both double-ups and tournaments. I have to give another shoutout to the projections team.
I am happy to report my little one’s birthday went well. I took him to the arcade, took him to his favorite lunch place (Chick-Fil-A), and then we carved pumpkins with some friends. I’m not happy to report that I have to do it all again tomorrow, as that will be his actual birthday party with 20 screaming eight-year olds.
We went off script with the birthday party location this year. Rather than the typical bounce place, he picked a science lab where you get to do experiments with your friends. They get to dig for dinosaur bones, make slime, do dry ice experiments, and put mentos in coke. It should be a good time.
Enough small talk, let’s dive into tonight’s 11-game slate.

Team Previews
Detroit Pistons (at CHA): The Pistons put up a good fight in their opener against the Heat, largely thanks to Cade Cunningham (30 points, 9 assists) and Jalen Duren (17 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks). They draw a much better matchup this time around, as the Hornets like to push the pace and they often struggle defensively. The slate is large enough that I’m not looking to force any Detroit players into lineups, but Duren is appealing on DraftKings ($5,600), Cunningham has a high enough ceiling to be considered in tournaments, and Alec Burks is a reasonable value play off the bench.
