Team Previews
Los Angeles Lakers (at PHI): If you think a 5-game slate should lead to fewer injuries to monitor, think again. The Lakers have ruled out Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Rui Hachimura. They have listed LeBron James and Cam Reddish as questionable. At this point, we should expect LeBron to play until we hear otherwise. They draw a mediocre matchup on the road against the Sixers, who are ranked close to league average in pace, points allowed, and defensive rating. At sub-$10,000 price points on DraftKings, LeBron and Anthony Davis both project as strong RG Values. I also don’t mind Austin Reaves off the bench, as he has topped 30 fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games.
Philadelphia 76ers (vs. LAL): The Sixers haven’t been as good defensively this season, but have averaged the 5th most points per game this season. Tonight they host the Lakers, who are ranked 14th in pace and 9th in defensive rating. On the injury front, the Sixers have already ruled out Danuel House, Kelly Oubre, and Jaden Springer. Joel Embiid has topped 64 fantasy points in 3 straight games and Tyrese Maxey has averaged 1.23 DK / 1.20 FD points per minute this season. They are the preferred targets, but we might be able to use Robert Covington or Nicolas Batum as lineup fillers.
