A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. On weekends, jack-of-all-trades Taylor Smith takes the reins. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy weekend! We’ve got our second consecutive 7-game NBA DFS slate on tap for tonight, which should make for a nice little lead-in to NFL Sunday tomorrow. We saw all sorts of injury-related mayhem break out last Saturday with several teams playing the second half of a back-to-back, and there’s certainly a chance we see more of the same today. We’ve once again got quite a few squads set to play their second game in as many nights, and you know how it is with the NBA and load management these days.

As is always the case on Saturdays and Sundays, I’ll be here throughout the day breaking it all down with the latest news and updates. You can also catch me on Crunch Time just before lock. As always, hop into our NBA Discord channel to ask any questions you may have about tonight’s docket.

Without further ado, let’s hop right into Saturday’s NBA slate.

Team Previews

Charlotte Hornets (at IND): The Hornets again look like one of the league’s worst teams, but this game has the makings of a glorious fantasy environment. Charlotte leads the league in pace so far this year, while Indiana ranked third last season. In related news, this game has the highest over/under on the slate at 236 points with the Hornets checking in as 4.5-point underdogs. Terry Rozier and PJ Washington immediately jump out as plus values on both sites, while LaMelo Ball ($8,300) is getting awfully cheap on FanDuel. I don’t normally like to get too much exposure to the first games on the slate, but I will likely make an exception here.

Indiana Pacers (vs. CHA): The Pacers beat the Cavs on their blue court last night, and tonight they’ll draw a much friendlier matchup with the Hornets in town. Indy is the only team on the slate with an implied team total north of 120 points, so we’re expecting some goodness here. Myles Turner and Tyrese Haliburton have two of the highest RGVs on the slate over in LineupHQ. One factor that works against the Pacers from a DFS standpoint is that Rick Carlisle is running a fairly deep rotation, which hurts the value of their wing players, in particular. Buddy Hield on FD ($4,800) looks a lot more appealing than he does on DK ($6,300), however.
