Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Sunday, March 29th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. So, who better to walk you through the madness of NBA DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best plays, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Sunday! DraftKings and FanDuel mercifully agreed to align their NBA slates tonight, so we’re looking at 6 games on both sites this evening. Things tip off at the usual earlier Sunday start time of 6 PM ET with the last game starting at 7:30. I will also be on GrindersLive with TJ and Tim in the hour leading up to lock, so tune into that for our final takes and to ask any questions you may have about the slate.
Off we go!

Team Previews

Orlando Magic (at TOR)
We’ll begin with the Magic, who are still chasing the Hawks and Raptors to avoid the Play-In Tournament. Orlando trails Toronto by a couple of games in the standings, so this is a big one for both sides. The Magic are just 1.5-point underdogs on the road as they continue to play without Franz Wagner, Anthony Black, and Jonathan Isaac.
Toronto is a capable defensive team, so this isn’t a great spot for the Magic in general. Paolo Banchero (30.7%) predictably leads the team in usage without Wagner or Black, but he’s fully priced here at $9,400 on DK and $9,900 on FD. Desmond Bane (+2.6%) gets a usage boost, but those guys have been out for long enough that Bane’s salaries have already adjusted. Jalen Suggs is back to playing around 34 minutes a night, but he also doesn’t really stand out in the $7,000 range.
Wendell Carter Jr. rarely offers a ceiling, while the range of outcomes for Tristan da Silva is awfully wide. Not much to see here, folks.
