NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Thursday, November 16th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Most people in the world look forward to Friday, but I always look forward to Thursday. We generally have a golf tournament starting (RSM Classic this week), we get to enjoy Thursday Night Football (solid game between the Ravens and Bengals tonight), and we have a nice break in the NBA schedule. And this Thursday in particular is exciting because it marks one week from Thanksgiving. We’ll talk about Thanksgiving food plenty next week.
If you are a fan of sports (safe to say you are) and looking for a show to watch, I highly recommend Welcome to Wrexham. Rob Reynolds and Rob McElhenney buy a soccer team (sorry, football team) in Wales and try to get it promoted to the league above. There’s ups, there’s downs, and plenty of heartfelt stories along the way. After watching very little soccer throughout the course of my life, I am 86% sure that my life goal is to buy a team. I need to win a bunch of Milly Makers to make that dream a possibility.
Let’s get back to tonight’s slate. There are only two games on the schedule and none of the four teams are playing in the front or back end of a back-to-back. I don’t want to jinx it, but there are currently no players listed as questionable for this slate.

Team Previews
Brooklyn Nets (at MIA): The Nets have won two games in a row and are back above .500 on the season. They have a tough draw tonight, as they travel to Miami to take on the Heat, who are ranked 8th in points allowed per game and 9th in defensive rating. Despite the difficult matchup, there are some intriguing DFS targets here thanks to the fact that Ben Simmons and Cam Thomas are out. Spencer Dinwiddie (1.11 DK / 1.06 FD), Mikal Bridges (1.08 DK / 1.05 FD), and Nicolas Claxton (1.03 DK / 1.12 FD) have all been very productive with Simmons and Thomas off the floor this season.
