Through my dad’s work, he gets access to a lot of the activities that the Jazz host. Tonight all of the grandkids are going to some type of dance thing with the Jazz dancers. I’m not exactly sure what this will actually entail, but they are all excited about it and it’s a way to get the kids out of the house. More importantly, I will try to get us any inside information possible from the Jazz dancers. Perhaps they will know why Omer Yurtseven played a total of 9 minutes last night even though the Jazz were without John Collins, Lauri Marrkanen, and Walker Kessler. I will take one for the team and get to the bottom of this.
We have a 5-game slate on tap tonight, and for the first time in a while, we have some teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back. The Cavaliers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Bulls, Kings, and Clippers are all playing their second game in as many nights. We have a lot to cover on the injury front, so let’s jump right to the slate.

Team Previews
Cleveland Cavaliers (at BOS): We kick off the 5-game slate with the Cavaliers, who are 3 games above .500 and who have a point differential close to zero on the season. They have a tough draw tonight as they go on the road to take on the Celtics. Boston is 4th or better in rebounding rate, points allowed per game, and defensive rating. This helps explain why the Cavaliers have the 2nd lowest total on the slate.
On the injury front, Caris LeVert and Evan Mobley are both listed as questionable. With both players out on Monday, Dean Wade drew the spot start, while both Georges Niang and Isaac Okoro played big minutes off the bench. I’m not too interested in the Cavaliers tonight, but it could be a decent spot for Donovan Mitchell in tournaments. He has topped 48 fantasy points in 4 of his last 6 games, and his current price on DraftKings ($9,200) doesn’t reflect that.
Boston Celtics (vs. CLE): The Celtics are 16-5 on the season and have the 2nd-best point differential in the NBA at +8.3 per game. Tonight they host the Cavaliers, who are currently 7th in points allowed per game and defensive rating. Essentially, this game projects to be played at a slow pace and features two of the best defenses in basketball. The Celtics have a team total that is identical to their season average (117.3 points).
