A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Tuesday!

I hope everyone had a better slate than I did last night. The combination of Tyrese Maxey (27 fantasy points) and Lonnie Walker (3.5 fantasy points) was too much for my main lineup to overcome. Let’s hope better things are in store for tonight’s slate. We have 7 games on the schedule, with two teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back (DAL-BKN) and one team playing in the front end of a back-to-back (Heat). In a strange turn of events, FanDuel has included the last game (MIL-PHO) on their main slate, while DraftKings is rolling out a 6-game main slate.

For those of you who play PGA DFS or want to give it a try, this is a great week to do it. We have the WM Phoenix Open, which is the yearly party on TOUR in Scottsdale. I saw some videos from the 16th hole on Monday, and the fans are already getting out of control three days before the tournament even starts. We will have plenty of content available this week and will have our weekly show this evening. It’s also Super Bowl week, so be on the lookout for a lot of content coming your way for the big game.

Team Previews

Houston Rockets (at IND): The Rockets have lost 6 of their last 10 games and have dropped out of the top 10 places in the Western Conference standings. They have been putrid on the road (5-17) but draw a nice matchup for fantasy production. The Pacers are 2nd in pace and 26th in defensive rating. The Rockets will be without Fred VanVleet and Tari Eason tonight, yet they still have a team total that is higher than their season average. Here’s the CourtIQ with those two off the floor this season:

HOU2.6.24

Amen Thompson or Aaron Holiday should start at point guard tonight, while the rest of the starters should see a nice uptick in usage. I expect the offense to run through Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun, who both project as strong spends on this slate. Thompson and Holiday are both viable punts. I expect the starter to garner significantly more ownership, but I don’t hate the idea of pairing them together. Jabari Smith is also viable at a seemingly discounted price point.

Indiana Pacers (vs. HOU): The Pacers have lost 6 of their last 10 games and seem to be trending in the wrong direction after trading for Pascal Siakam. This often happens right after a big trade (see the Clippers earlier this season), so Pacers fans should give it time before getting too worried. The Rockets aren’t the best matchup on paper, but they have been significantly worse defensively over the last 6 weeks. The Pacers’ team total is lower than their season average but still the 3rd highest on the slate. Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Smith are both questionable for this game, so we’ll have to keep an eye on their availability. If they are both active, this might be a full fade situation, given how deep their rotation is and the fact that Haliburton is on a minute restriction.
