Happy Tuesday everyone!
We get a small break in the action this evening, as there are only 5 games on the schedule. Out of the 10 teams set to take the floor, half of them are playing on the second half of a back-to-back (Knicks, Celtics, Jazz, Lakers, Sixers). Even though we have a lone late game on the schedule, both FanDuel and DraftKings have decided to keep it on their main slates. It’s also worth noting that the first game doesn’t tip off until 7:30 PM ET, so we have a little extra time to build lineups.
Unfortunately, my son didn’t inherit his teeth from my side of the family. He’s only 8 years old and has already had to get 3 teeth pulled. He’s such a cute kid, but his teeth don’t like growing in the same direction. On top of that, he has extra teeth. After the latest round of X-rays, our dentist said we should consult an orthodontist. I reluctantly agreed, and let me tell you, they have quite the racket going on. You walk in and there are huge screens with video games to play while the kids wait. They also have fresh cookies and ice cream waiting for the kids after their appointment. To reel the parents in, they give big discounts for paying in full and starting the braces that same day. We went in for a consult and left with braces and a big hole in my wallet. I feel a tad hustled, but I would do anything for that kid.
On a very related note, I could use a good night of NBA DFS. Let’s have a day!

This section will be updated as injury news is released throughout the day.
Team Previews
Indiana Pacers (at BOS): The Pacers are hoping to have their star point guard back tonight, but Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Bennedict Mathurin, and Jalen Smith are all listed as questionable as of this morning. It’s a tough spot for Indiana, as they travel to Boston to take on the Celtics, who are 4th or better in rebounding rate, points allowed per game, and defensive rating. The Pacers have a team total that is 5.8 points below their season average. With so many question marks, there’s not much we can do from a breakdown perspective until we get an updated injury report from Indiana. Let’s take a wait-and-see approach for now.
Boston Celtics (vs. IND): The Celtics have the best record in the NBA and are 21-2 at home this season. Tonight they host the Pacers, who are 2nd in pace and 26th in defensive rating. With this being such a good matchup at home, it’s no surprise that the Celtics have a team total that is 5.8 points higher than their season average. Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kornet both missed last night’s game and are still on the injury report. Al Horford usually doesn’t play in back-to-backs, so there’s a good chance the frontcourt will be short-handed tonight. Jayson Tatum is coming off of a big game last night and feels underpriced on both sites. For the rest of the Celtics, let’s wait and see if Porzingis is going to play. When he’s off the floor, Derrick White sees a major uptick in usage and FP/minute production.
