A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Tuesday!

It’s been rinse and repeat for me over the last few weeks. I will have a great weekend of NFL DFS and betting, then slowly donate it all back to the NBA DFS streets. I feel like the Detroit Pistons right now. And let me tell you, you never want to feel like the Detroit Pistons. There are only a few weeks left of NFL to save my bacon, so I hope to get back on the right track in NBA soon. We are back at it tonight, this time with a 5-game slate. There aren’t any teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back, so hopefully, we won’t have too many injury updates today.

In other sports, we have the first full-field PGA TOUR event of the year this week, which we will have plenty of content for. We also have the Australian Open for tennis fans out there. If anyone has any DFS or betting questions for tennis, hit me up in the RotoGrinders Discord. I’ve spent a lot of time building out a model over the last 6 months and have had quite a bit of success with it so far. Perhaps it’s because the sport is new to me, but the tennis sweat might be my favorite.

Now, let’s take a look at tonight’s NBA slate.

Team Previews

Sacramento Kings (at DET): We kick off the slate with the Kings, who are 21-14 on the season. If you are a believer in point differential or net rating, then you might want to expect some regression moving forward. They actually have a negative point differential on the season. Tonight, they travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons, who love allowing fantasy production. Detroit is 7th in pace and 27th in defensive rating. The Kings come into the game with a team total that is 8.8 points above their season average. That’s the best mark on the slate.

Trey Lyles is questionable for this game, but the Kings should be at full strength otherwise. Given the matchup and high total, we should look to get exposure to Sacramento on this short slate. Domantas Sabonis projects the best and has a massive RGValue on both FanDuel and DraftKings. De’Aaron Fox is an interesting pivot or complimentary piece. Even though they don’t project as well, Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes, and Malik Monk all deserve consideration in this matchup.

Detroit Pistons (vs. SAC): The Pistons started the season by winning 2 of their first 3 games. Since then, they are 1-32. I’ve played for some bad teams in my life, but I can’t imagine how dejected I would feel losing 32 of the last 33 games. They’ll look to snap out of their funk tonight against the Kings, who are 11th in pace and 21st in defensive rating. I’ll go ahead and say that the Pistons have been in better form recently, so I like their chances to keep this game close. They have a healthy team total of 115.5 points.

Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart have both been ruled out of tonight’s game. Here’s the CourtIQ query with those two off the floor this season:
