Tuesday, Two’s Day, Toosday!
Does everyone have their Christmas lights up already? I tend to be an over-achiever when it comes to work and a big procrastinator when it comes to getting stuff done around the house. It was one warm day after another at the start of November, and I kept putting off the Christmas lights. Now, the snow has started and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. I refuse to pay someone $500 to put them up for me and this is really the only holiday that I decorate for, so I can’t not put up the lights, right? I suppose I must brave the elements in the next couple of days.
We have 8 games on the schedule this evening and not a single team is playing in the second half of a back-to-back. This hasn’t led to fewer injuries to monitor, but hopefully we won’t get any late scratches. We don’t have any super-friendly game environments, but do have some short-handed teams that should open up some value. Slates between 6 and 8 games have always been my favorites, so I’m excited to break down the slate. Let’s get started, shall we?

Team Previews
Charlotte Hornets (at NYK): The Hornets have already ruled out Nick Richards and are expected to be without LaMelo Ball. In the last 3 games with Richards out of the lineup, Mark Williams has averaged 30 minutes, 12 rebounds, and 37 fantasy points. I have already bet the over on his rebound prop for tonight (8.5). A matchup against the Knicks is one of the worst on the slate and the Hornets are large underdogs, but Ball’s expected absence opens a lot up offensively. Here’s who has benefitted in his absence this season:
New York Knicks (vs. CHA): The Knicks are one of the only teams without a single player on the injury report tonight. They are at home and they draw an exploitable matchup against the Hornets, who are ranked 6th in pace and 30th in defensive rating. While the Knicks have a team total that is 7.1 points above their season average, they aren’t a team that I am forcing into lineups on this slate. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle both project as positive RG Values, but they might get lost in the shuffle by the time lineup lock rolls around.
