Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Wednesday!
We are officially 12 days away from Christmas. No matter what you celebrate, happy holidays to you and yours.
We have a 9-game slate on tap tonight and it should be a fun one. We could see several star players sit due to injuries or for rest in the second half of a back-to-back. I personally prefer the injury-riddled slates, as they open value and make building lineups a little easier. Last night was a decent slate overall, as Coby White and Dante Exum ended up having big nights. Let’s try to find some more diamonds in the rough for tonight’s slate.

Team Previews
Philadelphia 76ers (at DET): We kick off Wednesday’s slate with the Sixers, who have won 3 games in a row and who have the best point differential in the NBA. They draw an exploitable matchup against the Pistons, who are 7th in pace and 24th in defensive rating. The Sixers currently don’t have any players on the injury report, so they will likely be at full strength for this one. With an implied total of 122.8 points, we should at least have some interest in Philadelphia. Joel Embiid is the easiest click, as he has topped 60 fantasy points in 6 straight games. Tyrese Maxey is also interesting, as Detroit is 27th in efficiency against opposing backcourts this season.
Detroit Pistons (vs. PHI): I usually like to look at the last 10 games for each team, but with the Pistons, we have to look at the last 20 games. They have lost 20 games in a row. That’s almost unfathomable in professional sports. At one point, they were 2-1 on the season. They are now 2-21. They’ll look to break the losing streak tonight against the Sixers, who are top 10 in the league in rebounding rate and defensive rating. They will likely be without Marvin Bagley and Jalen Duren again tonight, which opens up big minutes for Isaiah Stewart and Ausar Thompson. Nobody projects very well on the Pistons, but I don’t mind looking at those two in large-field tournaments.
