NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Wednesday, January 10th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Wednesday!
We have a 10-game NBA slate on tap tonight, golf starts tomorrow, and we have NFL playoff games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Life is good.
It’s a busy week for yours truly and nothing exciting has happened in my life the last few days, so we will jump right into the slate. FanDuel and DraftKings have both decided to leave the 2 late games off of their main slates. This means that we will have an 8-game main slate and a 2-game late slate. We will focus most of our attention on the big slate, but I will cover the 2 late games in the team previews. There are 4 teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back this evening — Kings, Pistons, Wolves, and Raptors.

Team Previews
Sacramento Kings (at CHA): We kick off the main slate with the Kings, who overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the Pistons by 21 points last night. They now travel to Sacramento to take on the Hornets, who are in the bottom 5 in both rebounding rate and defensive rating. Domantas Sabonis has the best projection here, but De’Aaron Fox could be a nice contrarian option in tournaments. This is a revenge game for Malik Monk, who has topped 40 fantasy points in 2 of his last 4 games.
Charlotte Hornets (vs. SAC): The Hornets have lost 9 of their last 10 games and are still short-handed. LaMelo Ball, Mark Williams, and Gordon Hayward have all been ruled out, PJ Washington is not expected to play, and Cody Martin is listed as questionable. The positives are that the Hornets are playing at home and have a team total higher than their season average. Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges are excellent tournament plays, but the large spread does make them fairly risky for cash games.
