NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Wednesday, March 13th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
If you are interested in playing PGA DFS this week, make sure to check out all of our content for THE PLAYERS Championship. We are also doing a group made-cut parlay in Discord that we are all going to sweat together on Thursday and Friday.
As for the NBA, we have 9 games on the schedule tonight. FanDuel and DraftKings are both running out a 7-game main slate and a 2-game late slate. We have 3 teams playing in the front end of a back-to-back (Bulls, Mavericks, Blazers) and 3 teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Grizzles, Pacers, Kings). This is the time of year when late scratches and superstars resting are commonplace, so make sure to keep an eye on the news updates section and have those alerts on for your favorite source of injury news. I will keep the rankings tables and core plays updated throughout the day.

Team Previews
Toronto Raptors (at DET): We kick off the main slate with the Raptors, who are trying to avoid their 5th loss in a row (well, maybe they are trying to get their 5th loss in a row). They draw a favorable matchup against the Pistons, who are 7th in pace and 28th in defensive rating. Despite missing Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, and potentially Immanuel Quickley (questionable) and Gary Trent (questionable), the Raptors have a team total that is higher than their season average. Quickley, Trent, and Bruce Brown all project as elite point-per-dollar options at the moment. If Quickley or Trent can’t suit up, even more value will open up on Toronto. I’ll continue to look at Kelly Olynyk in tournaments, as his per-minute production is solid, and he’s playing close to 30 minutes per game.
Detroit Pistons (vs. TOR): The Pistons have surprisingly won 3 of their last 10 games and are still tied with the Wizards for the worst record in the NBA. Tonight they host the short-handed Raptors, who have been a solid matchup for fantasy production in the second half of the season. The Pistons are 2.5-point underdogs and have a team total that is 5.6 points above their season average. The Pistons are currently one of the healthiest teams in the league, as Ausar Thompson (questionable) is the only player on the injury report. There are really only two options on my radar here — Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren. Cunningham has averaged 50 fantasy points over his last 4 games, while Duren’s price is down to $6,700 on DraftKings.
