NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Wednesday, October 25th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
There is something about spending large quantities of time with family that really makes you appreciate your usual day-to-day life. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family and would do anything for them, but after spending an entire weekend with them (all squeezed into a few hotel rooms), I was pumped to get back to the DFS grind on Monday.
The weekend helped me realize two things that I don’t miss — bickering with my significant other (single Noto in the house!) and taking care of a newborn. I always thought I wanted another kid, but babies are hard work. My nephew fell and got a black eye and my niece had a stomach bug and was puking all weekend. My little man turns eight on Thursday, so it has been a very long time since I’ve had to take care of a baby.
These days, my baby is NBA DFS. It’s always nice to start off the season with a small slate and now we get a massive 12-game slate on Wednesday. This article is meant to give you a little of everything — a nice preview of the slate, DFS rankings for each position, and updated injury news and thoughts. Feel free to check back in throughout the day.

Team Previews
Atlanta Hawks This is a team that has had significant roster overhaul over the last 10 years, yet continue to be stuck in neutral. Their win total for this season is 42.5, which puts them on pace to barely make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. They return a very similar roster to the one they had last season, so we shouldn’t expect much to change in terms of roles and usage. The Hawks open with a nice matchup against the Hornets, who play at a fast pace and aren’t known for their defensive prowess. There’s not a ton that stands out at first glance outside of Trae Young and Saddiq Bey in tournaments.
