POINT GUARD
Stephen Curry – $9,500 – Curry is simply on fire right now, averaging 59 DraftKings points over his last two games. Steve Kerr is a perfect coach for Curry’s skill set, and the coach is also praising Curry’s improvements on defense this season. The price tag is high, but Curry is my top point guard tonight in a favorable matchup against Kemba Walker and the Hornets.
DJ Augustin – $4,400 OR Ramon Sessions – $4,700 OR Isaiah Canaan – $4,200 – Three potential injury replacements could be highly owned tonight. This is the order I prefer them, but there’s a chance that both Brandon Jennings and Darren Collison return for this evening’s games. If that’s the case, Augustin and Sessions are irrelevant and you can pivot down to Canaan, who hit six three pointers in the last game and will start in place of Patrick Beverley again today.
SHOOTING GUARD
James Harden – $10,400 – As we have seen over the past few games, Harden will have a ridiculously high usage rate with Dwight Howard missing another game tonight. He is the only playmaker in the Houston offense and will have the ball in his hands on almost every possession. In what should be an up-tempo matchup against the Clippers, Harden is the safest high-dollar play on the board tonight.
Iman Shumpert – $5,000 – With Carmelo Anthony doubtful again this evening, expect Shumpert to play a bigger role on the offensive end of the floor. Shumpert has had some difficulties staying out of foul trouble in recent games, but that’s never been a huge issue for him in the past. As Shumpert’s price is $900 cheaper than JR Smith on DraftKings, I like Shumpert as the better value of the Knicks shooting guard options in this game.
