POINT GUARD
Isaiah Thomas – $5,500 – It is unclear whether or not Thomas will join the starting lineup tonight, but he is in play regardless. He gets an immediate revenge game against his former Suns team, and he should see a large usage bump as a primary scorer on the Celtics. He was dealing with a minor illness last night but still looked good before getting ejected in the fourth quarter. This is a nice matchup against an up-tempo team, and Thomas should have a nice game here.
Isaiah Canaan – $3,000 – Why not make it two Isaiah’s for the bargain bin point guards tonight? Canaan has taken over the reins as the starting point guard for the Sixers, and he should be a solid low-cost option until his price rises. He is one of the safer value plays on the board at the bare minimum price tag as a guy who should be guaranteed 28-32 minutes in this spot. Expect him to be one of the more highly owned players this evening, as he was last night.
SHOOTING GUARD
Avery Bradley – $5,100 – Though the acquisition of Isaiah Thomas has thrown some uncertainty into Boston’s rotations, it looks like Avery Bradley’s role is secure. He was their primary offensive weapon last night and draws a nice matchup against Phoenix this evening. His price remains reasonable at $5,100, and there isn’t a ton of value at the shooting guard spot on this Monday. If you are looking for a low-cost play, Bradley is a fine choice.
JJ Redick – $4,700 – Redick was more appealing when he was $3,800 the other night, but he could still make a fine option here. As I said above, there isn’t a ton of value at shooting guard tonight. The Clippers are also going small more often without Blake Griffin, as they have played Paul, Redick, and Crawford together at times. The absence of Griffin also means there are more shots to go around for the rest of the team. Throw in the fact that Memphis is susceptible to getting beat from long range, and Redick could be a decent option tonight.
