POINT GUARD

Patrick Beverley – $5,100 – Beverley is not a glamorous option, but he would be a safe value pick for your head-to-head and double up contests this evening. He plays around 30 minutes a game and has a decent matchup against Jarrett Jack this. Beverley does not do a ton offensively, but he should be good for a solid night of production at this cheap price tag. There are several value point guards that have a higher ceiling, but they all have a lower floor than Beverley, too. That makes Beverley the preferred play for cash games.

Marcus Smart – $4,400 – Some value plays have opened up in Boston with Jeff Green traded to Memphis, and Marcus Smart is one of the biggest beneficiaries. With Evan Turner and Jae Crowder now in the starting lineup, Smart becomes one of the first players off the bench. He is young but has a world of talent and will have his share of good games. At a very cheap price of $4,400, he makes an intriguing boom-or-bust option for your tournament games.

SHOOTING GUARD

Lou Williams – $4,700 – Williams has been playing some of his best basketball of the season in recent weeks, and he has logged 26+ DraftKings points in each of his last four games. The impending return of DeMar DeRozan will likely cut into Williams’ value some, so keep an eye on the wire for news on that front. In the meantime, feel free to utilize the streaking Williams in a plus matchup against Detroit if you need a value play at shooting guard.

Eric Gordon – $4,500 – Though it’s always a risk to roster Eric Gordon, this might be the time to use him. He looks healthy for the first time in over a year, he’s super cheap on DraftKings, and he has a generous matchup against the below average defense of the Celtics. Avery Bradley will likely lock horns with Tyreke Evans, which should free up some more looks for Gordon. He has some sneaky potential as a nice value play on this four game slate.
