NBA Expert Picks Preview: Monday, January 26th

Bargain Bin Ballers isn’t your typical Value Plays column. These are extremely low-dollar options, with the potential to hit, that could make-or-break your evening. Each week, our top-ranked experts, dig deep to find these plays which help you win your GPP, and sometimes, if a low-variance option sprouts up, even your head-to-head. Bargain Bin Ballers only includes players in the following price tiers:

Editor’s Note: As expected, the Knicks/Kings and Nets/Trail Blazers games have both been postponed due to inclement weather. Do not roster players from any of those teams.
POINT GUARD
Elfrid Payton – $5,500 – It appears as though the injury scare is a thing of the past, as Payton played 31 minutes on Sunday and looked just fine, putting up a respectable 27 fantasy point line. He has a tough matchup against Mike Conley and the Grizzlies tonight, but his all around game should play well and the price is still very affordable at $5,500 on DraftKings. He’s a solid mid-range pick tonight.
Dante Exum – $3,500 – Although his shooting leaves a lot to be desired, Exum has snatched the starting point guard job away from Trey Burke, and he has put up 23 fantasy points in each of his last two games. That’s definitely solid production from a player who is barely above minimum salary. His game isn’t sexy, but he should produce enough against a Boston team that’s poor defensively to justify this price tag.
SHOOTING GUARD
Evan Turner – $5,300 – Despite the promotion of Marcus Smart into the starting lineup last week, Turner has been solid over his last four games, averaging 33 DraftKings points per game during that span. He got another start on Sunday as Smart was away from the team to attend to a personal matter, but it sounds like Smart will return for tonight’s contest. Either way, Turner has put up solid stats of late and is still getting enough minutes to produce on the stat sheet. He’s a solid mid-range option against Utah tonight.
J.J. Redick – $4,300 – I almost never play JJ Redick in any format, but his production has been respectable this season. His price is also very cheap on DraftKings at $4,300. He gets plenty of minutes and has a matchup against the up-tempo Nuggets tonight in what should be the highest scoring game on the slate. The three-point bonus on DK is also a boost to Redick’s value. It’s hard for me to stomach playing him, but he should hit 20+ fantasy points tonight.
