Thursday, February 19th
POINT GUARD
Chris Paul $10,000 – With just two games tonight, there are really just four choices at PG. I’ll take CP3 over Westbrook for the price savings and the high usage rate with Blake Griffin out of the lineup.
Tony Parker $5,400 – Parker has a tough matchup against CP3 and the Clippers tonight on the road, but if you want to go cheap at PG, it’s Tony or Rondo, who is returning from a facial injury. Parker was playing decent before the break, as should have enjoyed the time off as a veteran player. The Spurs need to win games and compete as they are currently seventh in the Western Conference, so expect a full allotment of minutes (30-32) from Parker tonight.
SHOOTING GUARD
Jamal Crawford $5,400 – With Rondo coming back tonight, I’m not sold on Ellis, as the Mavs offense has not been great with Rondo on the floor this season. This has me targeting Crawford as my top SG play for GPP’s tonight. Crawford is playing big minutes for the Clippers with Blake out, and has four straight 25+ FPT games with Blake out of the lineup. He will be chucking shots all night.
J.J. Redick $4,500 – There are a lot of holes to fill with Blake out, which has Redick in line for nice performances until he returns. He has two straight games of 30+ minutes after taking a few games off due to back spasms, and should continue to shoot threes every chance he gets while Blake is out. He is very reliant on his three point shot falling, but can shoot you up the leaderboard if he gets hot and is able to contribute a little bit in other categories.
