Point Guard
Damian Lillard ($7,600) – Damian Lillard is an elite play tonight due the Trail Blazers being extremely shorthanded. They will likely be without Aldridge, Batum, and Kaman. In just 45 minutes of action without all three of these players on the court, Lillard has a usage rate north of 40. Lillard will be asked to do it all tonight, making him an excellent cash game play.
Jeremy Lin ($4,800) – Jeremy Lin is being inserted back into the starting lineup tonight for the Lakers. His price is sitting at the very fair price of $4,800, which is likely much too low for his new role. In addition to the promotion, Lin is coming off a productive game in which he totaled 44.75 fantasy points against the 76ers. Lin is a great value option tonight in this fast paced game against the Thunder.
Shooting Guard
Monta Ellis ($6,300) – The matchup is certainly less than ideal against the stout wing defense of the San Antonio Spurs, however the reduced price tag on Monta Ellis is very appealing. His season average of 32.3 fantasy points is right around the value threshold of his current $6,300 price tag. This game has a nice over/under of 206.5 with the Spurs favored by only three points. Monta Ellis is a fine price point play tonight.
Arron Afflalo ($4,300) – From a fantasy perspective, Arron Afflalo has been a complete disappoint in his time with the Trail Blazers. Many people believed that Afflalo would receive a substantial offensive bump after Matthews went down with a season ending injury. With the Trail Blazers likely shorthanded tonight, Afflalo will need to do more offensively. Assuming all these doubtful players are indeed out, I expect Afflalo to shot the ball at least 12 times and play around 35 minutes. Afflalo is an excellent value play tonight.
