Point Guard
Mo Williams: $6,600 (vs. L.A. Lakers) – Williams has been on a tear since joining the Hornets, averaging 37 fantasy points per contest over his last five games. His usage and minutes are both up and he offers tremendous upside tonight. His price has come up on FanDuel, but he’s still a terrific play at a price of only $6,600. Tonight he draws a premier matchup against the Lakers, who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing points guards than any other team in the NBA this season.
Aaron Brooks: $4,500 (vs. Washington Wizards) – Brooks hasn’t played great in his first three starts since the Derrick Rose injury, but he will continue to start at point guard tonight against the Wizards. Brooks can get hot at any time and he only needs around 23 fantasy points to reach value. That’s a feat that he can certainly accomplish against a Wizards’ defense that is ranked 27th against point guards over the last seven days.
Shooting Guard
Tim Hardaway: $4,600 (vs. Sacramento Kings) – Hardaway has played well with Jose Calderon and Carmelo Anthony out of the lineup. Over his last three games, he has averaged 24 fantasy points in 32 minutes per contest. He is sitting at a very playable $4,600 on FanDuel and he draws one of the best matchups on the board. The Kings are ranked dead last against shooting guards this season.
Tony Snell: $3,800 (vs. Washington Wizards) – With Jimmy Butler out, Snell will likely draw the start at shooting guard. If Coach Thibodeau sticks to his usual rotation, Snell could push for minutes in the upper 30’s tonight. He has been playing very well recently and is an absolute steal at this price point. His uptick in minutes and usage more than outweighs the tough matchup against the Wizards.
