Glean insight from one of the game’s best as they list picks they’ll actually be targeting in cash games below, along with detailed analysis and reasoning.

Wednesday, November 12

POINT GUARD

Damian Lillard – $8,200 – We saw what Lillard is capable of in his explosive game last night with the Blazers coming back from 20 down to win by a bucket. Nicolas Batum has already been ruled out again this evening, and the Blazers get a plus match-up against the fast-paced and defensively-challenged Nuggets. Fire up Lillard as an elite point guard play here.

Jrue Holiday – $7,300 – Holiday is a nice fit as the captain of a suddenly good New Orleans offense. Now fully healthy, the team has solid options at every position, and it doesn’t hurt to have a scorer like Anthony Davis dominating the paint. The Pelicans should have their way with the Lakers tonight, and the only worry is whether or not the game stays competitive into the fourth quarter. At a $7,300 price tag, Holiday is one of my favorite mid-range plays.

SHOOTING GUARD

Eric Bledsoe – $7,000 – The depth in the Suns back-court is going to be an issue this year, as it appears that Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas are going to alternate big lines. Bledsoe was terrible in the last game, but his price has come down and he has a nice match-up with Joe Johnson this evening. In a game with one of the highest over/unders of the night, give Bledsoe a look as a high upside shooting guard.

Kevin Martin – $6,100 – Kevin Love’s departure from Minnesota may have hurt the team, but it certainly helped Kevin Martin’s fantasy value. Martin is the go-to scorer in this offense, and he is never afraid to chuck the ball at the basket. He has a nice match-up against James Harden this evening in another game that should be high scoring, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Martin put up a 30+ fantasy point performance here.

SMALL FORWARD

Gordon Hayward – $7,500 – Gordon Hayward is showing everyone why he deserved a big contract in the early going. He has taken over games in the fourth quarter, and he is a big reason why the Jazz should be much improved this season. The likely absence of DeMarre Carroll tonight is a huge boost for Hayward, as Carroll is one of the best defenders in the NBA. If you are looking to spend on small forward, Hayward is one of my favorite options.

Chris Copeland – $5,600 – Copeland was one of the most popular picks on Monday, and he let everyone down with one of his worst games of the year. The Pacers are still very limited on the wings, with Rodney Stuckey still out and CJ Miles questionable for tonight’s game. Copeland is having a fantastic start to the year and is never afraid to shoot the ball. Don’t hesitate to go back to the well even after the dud the last time out.
