First Look Legend
| Term | Description |

| Team Total | The implied number of points a team is expected to score based on the Vegas line and total. |
| PPG | The number of points scored per game by each team. |
| Total +/- | The difference between a team’s implied total and their average points scored per game. |
| Pace | The number of possessions a team averages per game. |
| Proj. Pace | The difference of each team’s pace compared to the league average. The differences are then combined to come up with projected pace. |
| Pace +/- | The difference between a team’s pace and the projected pace of that night’s game. |
| Total FPs | The total number of fantasy points allowed by each team. |

They are updated at night when the First Look is published and then again in the morning when the previous night’s game are accounted for in the rankings. The higher the number, the worse that team is at defending that position. For instance, the team that is ranked 30th against point guards has allowed the most fantasy points to that position.
