Utah at Denver
- Vegas Line – No Lines Set for This Game Yet
- Utah Proj. Starters – Burke-Hayward-Jefferson-Favors-Kanter
- Denver Proj. Starters – Lawson-Foye-Chandler-Faried-Hickson
Utah
The Jazz have a nice matchup tonight against Denver, but with the Jazz on the road, there is always a high chance of a blowout. Vegas has them as 10 point underdogs so it’s right on the edge of a potential blowout. I think the blowout hurts the value of the Nuggets more than the Jazz players though.
- Trey Burke – Burke has really played well over the last couple of weeks and should play well in an uptempo game against the Nuggets. His price is in that mid to low tier on most sites and he could easily top 25 FP’s here.
- Gordon Hayward – Hayward is more of a GPP play than a cash game play, but he’s definitely worth a look. He’s been inconsistent, but he has shown that he has great upside. He usually excels in the open floor and I expect the Jazz to push the pace in this one.
Denver
The Nuggets are in a tough spot tonight. They are double-digit favorites against a Jazz team that has gotten blown out on a number of occasions this season. My thought is that the risk it too high considering how many other options there are tonight. Wilson Chandler makes a sneaky GPP play, but I’m avoiding the Nuggets for the most part.
Sacramento at Phoenix
- Vegas Line – Phoenix -6, 210 Over/Under
- Sacramento Proj. Starters – Thomas-McLemore-Gay-Williams-Cousins
- Phoenix Proj. Starters – Bledsoe-Dragic-Tucker-Frye-Plumlee
Sacramento
The Kings should have Rudy Gay available for tonight’s game. While it will take some time before we know how he is going to impact the fantasy value of the rest of the team, you have to think that he is going to take some shots away from Thomas and Cousins. He will also hurt the value of Derrick Williams who has had a nice little run lately. I will likely be avoiding DeMarcus Cousins for the most part just because his price has crept up to the same level as Love and Curry.
- Isaiah Thomas – Thomas has been a great fantasy option this season and has been even better as a starter. I love the matchup against the Suns and see him topping 30 fantasy points once again.
Phoenix
The Suns are in a great spot tonight. The Kings struggle to defend all positions except for Center. I think both Goran Dragic and Channing Frye will play well here, but my favorite play is Mr. Bledsoe.
- Eric Bledsoe – Bledsoe is a player that can consistently top 35 FP’s and is always one of my favorite GPP plays. He has a favorable matchup against the Kings in what should be a close, high scoring game. The upside and the matchup are both there for him to have a big game.
Houston at Golden State
- Vegas Line – No Lines Set for This Game Yet
- Houston Proj. Starters – Beverley-Harden-Parsons-Jones-Howard
- Golden State Proj. Starters – Curry-Thompson-Barnes-Lee-Bogut
Houston
This is projected as the highest scoring game of the night. The total is set at 212 points and there are great options from both teams. Dwight Howard has really played well and has topped 50 FP’s in each of his last 3 games. James Harden continue to fill the stat sheet. And Patrick Beverley is still seeing major minutes even with Lin back in the lineup. All three of these players are in play, but it really depends on the site as their prices vary across the different sites.
Golden State
Stephen Curry has great upside in this matchup, but is a little too expensive to use in cash games tonight. Harrison Barnes makes a great value play as he is seeing close to 40 minutes per game. Klay Thompson is always a good GPP play and gets the bonus of being defended by Harden. There are a number of different ways to go here, but my favorite play is David Lee.
- David Lee – Lee is always one of the best cash game options because he is extremely consistent and can always be counted on. The Rockets are ranked 26th against PF’s this season and I think Lee should post a solid double-double in this matchup.
