New York
The Knicks are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive by beating the Suns tonight, but it will be a tough task as the Suns are also fighting for their playoff lives. This should be a fast paced game and I really like the matchup for the Knicks. The Suns are giving up the 9th most points per game this season and are ranked 13th or worse against PG’s, SF’s, PF’s, and Centers. If you are a fan of revenge games, Amar’e Stoudemire makes a nice play. He’s cheap on most sites and is facing his former team.
- Carmelo Anthony – Melo took over the second half in the Knicks’ last game and I’m expecting him to take over this game as well. He doesn’t have quite as good of a matchup as Love or Davis, but I don’t think many people will be targeting him tonight. Use him in GPP’s as he has as much upside as anyone in the NBA.
Phoenix
The Suns are projected to score 107 points tonight so we can throw out the fact that the Knicks are close to being a top 10 defense on the season. The Knicks have been very stout against bigs this season though. The Suns bigs should be avoided tonight. Goran Dragic makes a nice play at PG, he has topped 30 FP’s in 4 straight games and it finally looks like he and Bledsoe can play well together.
- Eric Bledsoe – Bledsoe has really been playing well of late and draws a terrific matchup tonight against the Knicks who are ranked 26th against SG’s this season. Bledsoe has topped 33 FP’s in 4 straight games and should be able to reach that mark again tonight against the Knicks. This game will also be played at home where Bledsoe is averaging 6 more FP’s per game than he is on the road.
Memphis at Golden State
- Vegas Line – Golden State -2, 187 Over/Under
- Memphis Proj. Starters – Conley-Lee-Prince-Randolph-Gasol
- Golden State Proj. Starters – Curry-Thompson-Barnes-Green-Bogut
Memphis/Golden State
The final game of the night features two solid defenses and one of the slowest paced teams in the league. The total for this game is set at only 187 points and both teams are ranked in the top 8 in points allowed this season. Furthermore, both teams are better than average defensively against all five positions on the floor. This is a game to avoid altogether.
