Orlando
Orlando has been beat up on this season and has a 2-4 record to show for it. They have some good young talent in Vucevic, Fournier and Payton and due to their price, have made quality fantasy plays. The Magic are coming off an overtime victory over the Twolves on Friday night and will look to make it two in a row when they go into Brooklyn to face the Nets. They are big underdogs in the afternoon game and will need some big performances to stay close.
Prime Plays
Tobias Harris – Some of these Magic players are playing very well, they just don’t have the overall talent and team play it takes to win in the NBA night in and night out. Harris is coming off a huge 17 point, 16 rebound performance on Friday and will look to mimic that against the Nets today.
Secondary Plays
Evan Fournier – A value play that gets 35+ minutes per game and will throw up 10+ shots. If he is on he makes a great GPP play.
Elfrid Payton – It is still hard not to recommend him as his price is still playable at certain sites and he does a bit of everything on the floor. I do not expect him to go out and score 40 fantasy points, but reaching value should be a lock.
Brooklyn
The Nets are coming off a big win against their New York rival Knicks who everyone can win against these days. They are going to have to be led, like they were, by Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Lopez as they really do not have any other big names on their team. Teletovic had 18 points off the bench of Friday, but does not put up any other stats for fantasy value. They are currently 7’ point favorites with a decently high total of 197’.
Prime Plays
Deron Williams – He needs to take this team on his shoulders this year if they are going to win and that is exactly what he has done for the majority of the season. Other than their blowout against the Thunder, DWill has taken at least 15 shots on the other 4 games and is leading this team in minutes played by far. He makes a very good mid-level point guard for this full slate.
Secondary Plays
Brook Lopez – His price is still not where it will end up in the middle of the season, but he has gotten over 30 minutes in his last two games and just missed his first double double of the season on Friday. Play him as his salary will slowly take a jump up over the next few weeks.

Utah
Utah is another team with a lot of good young talent, but it will be a bit before they can win a lot at the NBA level. They are coming off a blowout loss to the Mavericks, and will look to turn it around against the struggling Pistons tonight. The game’s total is set at 196 and has the Jazz as 3’ point underdogs. The game should be played at a good pace and should stay close throughout, giving us good potential fantasy plays.
Prime Plays
None
Secondary Plays
Alec Burks – He is at a tough price as he is not a true value, which makes his hard to play as he also doesn’t go crazy on the stat sheet. I do like him today though as he should get some time against Jennings possibly which is always good for a players offensive confidence.
Detroit
Detroit is a very difficult team to get a read on early on in the season. They have battled to a 2-3 record and recently beat a bad Bucks team by 3 points at home. They were led in points be Caldwell-Pope who has come on very strong this year, and after getting a few real quality performances out of Monroe, he only played 26 minutes and had 10 points, 7 rebounds. The star players on the Pistons are hard to trust as they are so volatile for fantasy. I do expect this game to be high scoring tonight, though.
Prime Plays
Greg Monroe – Prior to the dud he put up on Friday, Monroe had a 23 point, 18 rebound game and an 18 point, 11 rebound game. I expect more of those types of games than the most recent one and his price is at a perfect spot at some sites where he should easily hit value.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope- One of my favorite value plays tonight as Caldwell-Pope is playing over 30 minutes a night and has not had to search for shots in this offense.
Secondary Plays
Josh Smith – They will play up in pace tonight and games like these are where Smith shines. He can never be fully trusted, but is a nice GPP option.

Sacramento
The Kings have come out to an early 5-1 record making them one of the top teams in the league. This is mainly due to the great play of the two DCs, Cousins and Collison who have led this team in the early goings. They will travel to Oklahoma City in what should be another win for the Kings as the Thunder continue to be decimated by injury.
Prime Plays
DeMarcus Cousins – With the way he has been playing he is hard to ignore for fantasy purposes. He is putting up MONSTER lines each night and is coming off a 25 point, 18 rebound performance. I do not think Adams will be able to change that today and hopefully the Thunder could keep in moderately close as he could go off again.
Secondary Plays
Darren Collison – His price is still mid-level and he continues to put up mid-level performances making Collison a good cash game option as he has been pretty consistent this year.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are going to be a bad team until they get Westbrook and Durant back. With that said they are being led by Jackson who is getting all the usage he can handle and further injuries have led to a lot of value plays coming out of this squad. They are huge underdogs, but will be forced to be on the floor regardless of that fact tonight.
Prime Plays
Reggie Jackson – His price will rise to that of the higher level point guards pretty soon because he should continue to post 40+ fantasy point nights each game. He really is the focal point of this offense as Ibaka will never be that type of player. Get him in your lineups tonight.
Jeremy Lamb – Lamb is a value play depending on the status of guys like Roberson and Jones. If one or both of them are out, Lamb immediately becomes one of the top low level plays. He shot it 15 times last game and led the team (with Reggie) in minutes.

Philadelphia
Philly battled Chicago well in their last game, but came up just short in a 118-115 loss. Led again by a huge Wroten performance, the 76ers have shown that they can score the ball, but still cannot stop any team’s offense. They are the biggest underdogs on the board today and this game could get out of hand. With that said, the starters will still see a lot of minutes due to a short bench at the moment.
Prime Plays
Tony Wroten – His price continues to get higher which means people are not going to pay for him when they see some of the other stars names at, or close to his price. He still continues to pay it off though as he is coming off shooting 27 times and scoring 31 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. He is their offense and will be relied upon until MCW comes back.
Secondary Plays
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute – He played a surprising 33 minutes and had a double double. He could be a sneaky value play today if Noel continues to be hurt.
Toronto
Toronto has played very good basketball in their first few weeks of the season and has a 5-1 record to show for it. They recently cruised to a 19 point victory against the Wizards and now they win the matchup lottery against the winless 76ers. They are 13 point favorites with a total of 203. The question is always going to be about how many minutes the starters will play in a blowout scenario.
Prime Plays
Kyle Lowry – This guy has really come on strong in the last two games which makes me like him as a top play this evening. He is coming off a triple double against the Wizards and had a 35 point explosion in the prior game at Boston. Wroten will not play defense, which should allow for another huge performance for Lowry. I expect his to exceed value even if there are minutes lost due to the blowout today.
Secondary Plays
DeMar DeRozan – He will benefit greatly from open shots around the court and a faced pace game here tonight. He gets to the line at will and should easily put up 20-25 real points tonight. The question is if he can fill the rest of the stat sheet as he has at times this year, but then in the last game only had 3 rebounds, 1 assist. That is why he is a secondary play today in the possible blowout.
Amir Johnson – He is just too cheap at some sites to ignore him today. I hope he gets a few more minutes than he did in his first game back, which should make him a decent low range play.

Miami
Miami has impressed to a 4-2 record so far this year and continue to be led by Chris Bosh on the inside. Today should be a good test for them as they travel to take on a quality Mavericks squad. This Heat team is pretty big underdogs, but I think should keep this a close game throughout.
Prime Plays
Chris Bosh – I would probably go with DMC if I am paying up for a center tonight, but Bosh is impossible to ignore. He comes out every night and puts up 20+ points and close to 10 rebounds. He has a difficult matchup tonight against Chandler, but I think he continues to get his.
Secondary Plays
Shawne Williams – He is just a value play that I think can be used for cash games and you just know he is going to get you that 20 points out of a very low priced option. If he hits a couple of those 3’s he may get closer to 25 but that is all you are going to see out of him.
Dallas
Dallas is also a 4-2 team on the year and are coming off a big win Friday night over the Jazz. The starters all played 30 minutes or less in the blowout so should be well rested for tonights matchup against the Heat. Dallas is an 8 point favorite in a game with a high total of 204.
Prime Plays
Dirk Nowitzki – Nobody that the Heat has healthy should be able to guard Dirk tonight and I expect a pretty big game out of him if this stays close.
Monte Ellis – The real point guard of this offense is Ellis as he has the ball in his hand a lot. I expect him to take Wade a will tonight off the dribble and get to the foul line a bunch.
