Golden State at Dallas
- Vegas Line – Dallas -4.5, 204.5 Over/Under
- Golden State Proj. Starters – Curry-Thompson-Barnes-Lee-Bogut
- Dallas Proj. Starters – Calderon-Ellis-Marion-Nowitzki-Blair
Golden State
This is another good game to target tonight. Both of these teams play at a quick pace and this game has one of the highest totals of the night. The Warriors are still without Andre Iguodala, but they will get Andrew Bogut back after he served his one game suspension. The injury to Iguodala means that Harrison Barnes will get another start and he’s been playing some good basketball. He continue to make a solid value play depending on his price.
- Stephen Curry – Curry has a favorable matchup against Calderon. Even though the DvP rankings show that the Mavs have defended PG’s well, Curry should have no problem creating shots against Calderon. He’s coming off a big game last night and should keep it going against a bad Mavericks defense.
Dallas
The Mavericks are in a good spot tonight. The Warriors are without their best defensive player and Vegas expects this to be a high scoring game. The Warrior have defended SG’s and SF’s well this season, but most of that has to do with Iguodala’s defense.
- Monta Ellis – Monta excels in games that are fast paced. He is at his best when he is in the open floor and he can make plays in transition. The Warriors don’t have anyone quick enough to stay in front of him and I think he has great upside tonight.
- Dirk Nowitzki – Dirk is having a breakout season. He’s averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists on the season. Dirk has a great matchup against the Warriors and is a nice option if you want to spend at the PF position.
Portland at Phoenix
- Vegas Line – Portland -3.5, 200.5 Over/Under
- Portland Proj. Starters – Lillard-Matthews-Batum-Aldridge-Lopez
- Phoenix Proj. Starters – Dragic-Bledsoe-Tucker-Frye-Plumlee
Portland
The Blazers continue to play at an extremely high level. They are getting great production from all five of their starters and they have a favorable matchup against the Suns. Vegas has the total of this game set at 202 points with the Blazers being 4 point favorites.
- Damian Lillard – The Suns are ranked 20th against PG’s this season and Lillard has been playing at an All-Star level. He has really posted some big games and the matchup lines up well for him. Look for him to be very aggressive offensively.
Phoenix
The Suns will likely be without Eric Bledsoe again tonight so look for Gerald Green to get another start and for him to continue to be a strong value play. Channing Frye has really put together some nice fantasy performances with at least 25 FP’s in five of his last six games. He makes a nice sleeper play even in a tough matchup against Aldridge.
- Gerald Green – Green is an inconsistent fantasy player, but he is seeing huge minutes without Bledsoe in the lineup. If Green starts hitting shots, he usually becomes much more involved on both ends of the floor. I like him as a GPP play tonight.
New York at L.A.Clippers
- Vegas Line – L.A.Clippers -10, 203 Over/Under
- New York Proj. Starters – Felton-Shumpert-Anthony-Bargnani-Martin
- L.A.Clippers Proj. Starters – Paul-Redick-Dudley-Griffin-Jordan
New York
This game has the feeling of a blowout. The Knicks are not playing well as a team and are facing a Clippers team that can score with the best of them. While I would like to say that Carmelo Anthony makes a nice play here, there is just too much risk involved that I don’t think his price tag is worth it. It sounds like Raymond Felton will be back for tonight’s game which ends the run for Udrih and Prigioni as value plays.
L.A.Clippers
Like I mentioned above, I think this game is a blowout. The Clippers are favored by 9.5, but the way that the Knicks are playing, I think this game could be over before halftime. There are 12 other games on the schedule and in my eyes, there are much better options. I’m fading this game completely.
