NBA Lineups: Monday and Tuesday
Monday and Tuesday NBA Games

It’s a slow Monday with only three games going. The six teams playing are Chicago, Portland, Toronto, Sacramento, San Antonio, and the L.A. Clippers. So be prepared for a shallow player pool. I like the thought of the small game days better, because it makes viewing more fun since you can easily track 3 teams. However, you will have a lot more overlap with your opponents lineups, which will lead to higher variance in the long-run. If you like the gamble, and accept the fact that your 9-man roster is going to be more like a 6-man roster in most games, here’s an FSL lineup for Monday and some other good picks:
FSL – 225 Pt Cap
| Pos. | Player | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| PG | Derrick Rose | 30 pts | The former Rookie of the Year looks like he’s taken it to the next level this season. So far this season he is averaging 15 more fantasy points per game than the 2nd best PG |
| PG | Beno Udrih | 21 pts | Tyreke came back to the lineup and he still put up solid numbers. This guy is locked in as the Point Guard and has a high ceiling for assists and steals |
| SG | Brandon Roy | 31 pts | No explanation needed. Despite Manu’s solid play, Roy is hands down the best SG in today’s grouping. |
| SG | Eric Gordon | 23 pts | This guy can flat out put it in the bucket. He’ll have off nights because of his low totals in other categories, but his scoring makes up for it. |
| PF | Joakim Noah | 26 pts | Just look at his avg. line so far this season with Boozer out and smile: 16.5-18-1.5-1.5-2.5 :) |
| PF | Blake Griffin | 20 pts | What knee injury? |
| SF | Nicolas Batum | 17 pts | He’s due for some off nights, but for 17 points he’s a solid pick |
| SF | Luol Deng | 29 pts | He’s gotten off to an awful start, but he is going to snap out of it. |
| C | Andrea Bargnani | 27 pts | The Centers are very shallow this week. Barg is the go-to guy in Toronto now, and I’ll take him over inconsistent Camby for 27 pts |

Tuesday’s Players to Watch
Tuesday of the NBA provides us with 7 Games/14 Teams to choose from, and the Center position is notably deeper than today’s. There are plenty of quality big men to grab. Here is a list for players to target and spend money on for Tuesdays games:
Players to Target

- Dwight Howard – The Knicks have no center and run an uptempo offense – this could get ugly. There are a lot of centers available Tuesday, but Dwight is worth the reach.
- Lamar Odom – With Zach Randolph out for Memphis, Lamar Odom should have a field day on the boards.
- Mike Conley – Conley is off to a hot start, and the Grizzlies play well against the Lakers. Plus he gets matched up with Old-Man Fisher.
- Josh Smith – With LeBron out, it’s all inexperienced young guns in the front court. Josh Smith is having a block party, and JJ Hickson, Anderson Varejao and Jamario Moon are invited.
- Darrell Arthur – He’s filling in for an injured Zach Randolph and should be a solid, but not huge, value pick for you across all sites.
- Luke Ridnour – Until Jonny Flynn gets back, Ridnour is the Point Guard for the Timberwolves, make sure he is priced that way.
- Michael Beasley – This is his first game back in Miami since he was kicked out of town for a trio of players you may have heard about. I expect him to be ready to prove his worth to the city of Miami on Tuesday.
- Kevin Garnett – With Shaq already injured, KG will be relied more heavily on, and he is still a little underpriced from his stats last season on most sites.
- Glen Davis – It looks like Glen Davis will pick up the majority of Shaq’s minutes making him a great value pick.
- The Gasols – It’s like what the Manning brothers are to the NFL, mixed with some Spaniard passion for the game, and a strong desire to be the best brothers with mops in the NBA. These two will both show up to play.
