Best NBA Player Props for Monday, March 16th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Monday, March 16th:
- Desmond Bane Over/Under 21.5 Points
- Wendell Carter Over/Under 10.5 Points
- Austin Reaves Over/Under 8.5 Rebounds + Assists
Desmond Bane OVER 21.5 Points (-109, DraftKings)
Bane averaged 24.7 points per game in February and is averaging 22.8 points per game so far during March. He’s been slightly less efficient on the road this season, but the Hawks rank 7th in pace since the All-Star break, which could make up for Bane possibly not having an extremely efficient night shooting the basketball. This should be a competitive game against a surging Atlanta team that has won 10 of their last 11 contests. Bane has thrived in such matchups this season.
Wendell Carter OVER 10.5 Points (-125, bet365)
Carter attempts the plurality of his shots from the restricted area. Since the All-Star break, the Hawks have allowed the 4th-most shot attempts per game from that area of the floor. The biggest issue with Carter is always potential foul trouble, but that could be less of an issue this evening against an Atlanta team that is only around the league average in free-throw attempts during their last 10 games.
ScoresAndOdds has Carter projected for 12.4 points this evening. It’s not difficult to see the upside for him in this matchup.
Austin Reaves UNDER 8.5 Rebounds + Assists (-104, DraftKings)
Reaves has cleared this number in 4 consecutive games with LeBron James and Luka Doncic active, but that has still brought him to only a 45% hit rate on this line for the season in such situations. Since the All-Star break, the Rockets have allowed the fewest rebounds per game and fewest assists per game to opposing guards. This is a great spot to fade Reaves’ recent production.
