Thursday’s 9-game NBA slate features plenty of exciting matchups. The Pistons and Spurs will meet in a potential Finals preview. Fans will also be treated to a Prime Video doubleheader, beginning with the Warriors against the Rockets at 7:30 PM ET and followed by the Lakers against the Nuggets.

The NBA injury report is littered with big names, including Zion Williamson, Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, Cooper Flagg, and Anthony Edwards – all of whom are listed as questionable as of this writing.

As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Below, you can find 3 of my favorite picks for Thursday, March 5th!

Best NBA Player Props for Thursday, March 5th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 5th:

Tari Eason OVER 12.5 Points (-110, bet365)

This is a bit of a speculative play, with Houston having Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., and Amen Thompson all listed as questionable ahead of tip-off.

Eason has scored 12+ points in 3 of 5 games this season with Sengun inactive. He scored 26 points in 1 of the games that Thompson missed. He hasn’t scored fewer than 9 points in a game in which Smith has been unavailable.

If one or more of Houston’s starters end up being ruled out, it likely clears the way for Eason to have a more prominent role on the offensive end of the floor.

Kel’el Ware OVER 12.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)

Is Ware out of the doghouse? He’s played 29 minutes in each of Miami’s last 2 games, posting 13 points and 15 rebounds against the Rockets and then 11 points and 13 rebounds against the Nets.

Tonight, he gets to face the Nets once again. They have struggled to defend around the rim since the All-Star Break, which is where Ware sees most of his scoring opportunities. Ware should have a chance to put together another strong performance in a favorable matchup.

Isaiah Collier UNDER 16.5 Points (-100, FanDuel)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONFANDUEL

Collier has started to see his role reduced to begin March. After averaging 33.6 minutes per game in February, he played only 20 minutes against the Nuggets on Monday and only 26 minutes last night in Philadelphia.

Collier isn’t a particularly efficient scorer, having not made a 3-pointer since February 20th. Consequently, he usually needs a healthy amount of trips to the foul line to flirt with 20 points – as was the case last night when he went 8-for-8 from the charity stripe against the 76ers.

If Collier once again sees fewer than 30 minutes, it’s difficult to see him clearing this number.
