Friday’s 7-game NBA slate features plenty of star power, including the likely return of Stephen Curry to the Warriors. Donovan Mitchell, Tyrese Maxey, and Cade Cunningham are among the other marquee names scheduled to be in action to start the weekend.

Of course, there are notable names on the NBA injury report as well. LaMelo Ball, Alex Sarr, and Draymond Green have already been ruled out. Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards are currently listed as questionable as of this writing.

As always, keep an eye on the status of key players as we get closer to game time, and be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Friday, December 12th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Friday, December 12th:

Moussa Diabate OVER 6.5 Rebounds (-144, DraftKings)

According to CourtIQ, Diabate is averaging 7.3 rebounds per 20 minutes this season with LaMelo Ball off of the floor. In the last 5 games that Ball has been unavailable, Diabate has 4 games with 11+ rebounds, and he had 19+ rebound chances in each of those games too. In the lone outlier, he had 3 rebounds on 13 rebound chances against the Lakers.

Tonight, he draws a favorable matchup against Chicago – a team that has been slightly worse than the league average on the boards this season. Recent centers to face the Bulls – Alex Sarr, Noah Clowney, Jay Huff, Nic Claxton, Wendell Carter Jr., Day’Ron Sharpe – have all posted 12+ rebound chances. The opportunities should be there for Diabate tonight.

Jaylon Tyson UNDER 1.5 3-Pointers Made (+155, bet365)

Tyson is having a strong season shooting the basketball, and he’s been even better of late. He’s shooting 65.3% from the field in December, including 50% from beyond the arc. That being said, it’s doubtful that he’s going to be able to maintain such strong efficiency numbers across the entire campaign.

In the last 5 games that Tyson has played alongside Darius Garland, he’s made multiple 3-pointers in only 1 of those games, and that came on November 30th against the Celtics when Tyson had 12 attempts from long range. In the other 4 games, Tyson had 4 or fewer 3-point attempts.

Washington doesn’t defend the perimeter well, but it’s difficult to pass on such enticing odds for a player who simply hasn’t had much volume from this area of the floor when Garland has been active.

Stephen Curry UNDER 4.5 3-Pointers Made (-115, bet365)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONBET365

Curry has missed each of Golden State’s last 5 games but appears poised to return to the lineup tonight. However, it’s not the most favorable of circumstances for him to rejoin the team.

In Curry’s last 9 games with Draymond Green unavailable, he has only 1 game with more than 12 attempts from 3-point territory. The absence of one of the team’s best passers likely has at least some impact on his ability to get quality looks from the perimeter.

Tonight, Curry will have to face one of the league’s best perimeter defenses. Minnesota has allowed the lowest success rate in the entire NBA on above-the-break 3-point attempts during their last 8 games. They have also allowed the 6th-fewest such attempts from that area of the floor in that span.

Curry would likely need to be hyper-efficient with his opportunities to clear this number.
