NBA Player Props Today – Friday, February 21, 2025
- Jalen Brunson Over/Under 27.5 Points
- Karl-Anthony Towns Over/Under 24.5 Points
- Immanuel Quickley Over/Under 16.5 Points
Jalen Brunson UNDER 27.5 Points (-113, FanDuel)
Brunson and the Knicks are in a tough spot playing on the road in Cleveland after playing an overtime affair in New York yesterday. Brunson played 38 minutes yesterday and might have been slightly worn down from his All-Star Break obligations, considering he shot an uncharacteristically inefficient 8-for-21 from the floor.
Things won’t get any easier for him on Friday, facing a Cavaliers defense that has been a top-5 unit on their home floor when healthy this season. It would be unwise to expect head coach Tom Thibodeau to ever limit his starter’s workload due to the tough travel spot, but even if Brunson plays 40 minutes this evening, he might not be able to score 28 points. This is a tall number for Brunson against a strong defensive opponent.
Karl-Anthony Towns UNDER 24.5 Points (-110, bet365)
Towns has been a major contributor for New York this season on the latter half of back-to-back sets, scoring 25+ points in 7 of his 8 games played in such situations. That being said, he has the same difficult matchup as Brunson.
Towns played 43 minutes yesterday in an overtime win over the Bulls, shooting the ball 30 times. Fatigue could be a factor. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Towns be inefficient.
Immanuel Quickley OVER 16.5 Points (-110, bet365)
Quickley scored only 15 points last Wednesday against Cleveland, but he attempted double-digit shots for the third consecutive game and appears to be back to full health after missing a few weeks in January due to injury.
Tonight, Quickley could see an uptick in shot attempts, with Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett likely drawing the tougher defensive assignments this evening against the Heat. Miami has allowed some bigger scoring days to opposing guards of late, and that doesn’t appear likely to change following the All-Star Break. Quickley could end up being the latest beneficiary of Miami’s weak backcourt defense.
