Monday’s NBA slate features only 3 games, but fans will be treated to a potential championship preview between the Spurs and Pistons at 7:00 p.m. ET on Peacock.
It’s also a rare light day on the NBA injury report, with Keyonte George and Ty Jerome being the only notable names who are listed as questionable as of this writing.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Monday, February 23rd
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Monday, February 23rd:
- Ausar Thompson Over/Under 1.5 Steals
- Dylan Harper Over/Under 6.5 Rebounds + Assists
- Cade Cunningham Over/Under 27.5 Points
Ausar Thompson OVER 1.5 Steals (-106, FanDuel)
Since January 5, Thompson has recorded multiple steals in 17 of 20 games. The Spurs rank near the league average in terms of ball security during the last month, which should afford Thompson ample opportunities to disrupt passing lines and create turnovers.
At close to even money, this is a +EV wager on a small 3-game Monday slate in the NBA.
Dylan Harper OVER 6.5 Rebounds + Assists (-106, FanDuel)
Harper has seen his playing time solidify of late, logging at least 22 minutes in 8 of his last 9 contests. During that span, he’s cleared this number 7 times.
Detroit isn’t an overly favorable matchup for guards on the glass or as a facilitator, but Harper has managed 5+ rebound chances in 6 of his last 7 games and 8+ potential assists in 6 of his last 7 games.
Assuming Harper sees 22+ minutes tonight, he should have a good chance to clear this number.
Cade Cunningham UNDER 27.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)
Cunningham scored 42 points against the Knicks last Thursday, but he has otherwise been rather quiet scoring the basketball in February. In his other 7 games, he’s averaging only 23.9 points.
Tonight, Cunningham will face one of the league’s toughest interior defenses. San Antonio ranks 4th in defensive rating across their last 8 contests. During the last month, they have been a top-10 defense on shots around the rim, which is where Cunningham attempts over half of his shots.
ScoresAndOdds projections have Cunningham at 26.6 points tonight, showing some value on the under.
