Happy Monday! Following last night’s Super Bowl, the NBA is now the center of the sports world for the foreseeable future, with baseball still almost two months away from Opening Day. Tonight, the Association has 10 games on tap, beginning at 7:00 PM ET.
There are a number of questionable designations on today’s NBA injury report, including Jamal Murray, Joel Embiid, and Jalen Johnson.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Monday, February 9th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Monday, February 9th:
- DeMar DeRozan Over/Under 3.5 Assists
- Austin Reaves Over/Under 3.5 Rebounds
- Moses Moody Over/Under 17.5 Points
DeMar DeRozan OVER 3.5 Assists (-105, BetMGM)
According to CourtIQ, DeRozan is averaging 3.8 assists per 30 minutes with Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis off of the floor this season. He’s had at least 3 assists in 8 consecutive games with both players inactive and has had 9+ potential assists in 7 of those games.
New Orleans has been playing better basketball of late, but they still rank only 22nd in defensive rating since January 1 and only 20th in defensive rating since January 15. Since the new year, they rank 19th in assists allowed per game to forwards. DeRozan should have a good chance to collect 4 dimes this evening.
Austin Reaves OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-165, Hard Rock)
Reaves hasn’t had his minutes restriction removed yet since returning from injury, but he’s still been making an impact on the glass in limited playing time. In 3 games this month, Reaves has yet to post fewer than 4 rebounds or 5 rebound chances.
Tonight, Reaves gets a good matchup against an Oklahoma City team that has allowed the most rebounds per game to opposing guards this season. If Reaves sees 24+ minutes tonight, he should have a good chance to clear this number, especially with Luka Doncic unavailable.
Moses Moody UNDER 17.5 Points (-122, DraftKings)
Moody had 25 points on Saturday against the Lakers, but he played a season-high 39 minutes after Gui Santos got into foul trouble in the 1st quarter. Consequently, Moody took 17 shot attempts, including 14 attempts from beyond the arc. It was the first time since November 24 that Moody had attempted 10 or more 3-pointers in a single game.
Overall this season, he’s averaging just 15.6 points per 30 minutes with Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler off of the floor. Only twice in 9 games has Moody scored 15 points in games that Curry and Butler have been unavailable. The under has some value.
