NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, February 27, 2025
- Klay Thompson Over/Under 16.5 Points
- Klay Thompson Over/Under 4.5 Rebounds
- Jimmy Butler Over/Under 19.5 Points
Klay Thompson UNDER 16.5 Points (-120, bet365)
Thompson scored 22 points two nights ago against the Lakers, but he’s been otherwise extremely quiet in February, averaging only 13.9 points. Part of Thompson’s struggles have been related to efficiency, but it’s also worth noting that he’s only played more than 30 minutes in a game once this entire month.
Charlotte has been close to a league-average perimeter defense of late, which further limits Thompson’s upside given that the majority of his shot attempts come from beyond the three-point line. The math favors the under.
Klay Thompson UNDER 4.5 Rebounds (-150, bet365)
Thompson had 8 rebounds against the Lakers on Tuesday, but he had only 10 rebound chances, indicating that such a stat line is likely unsustainable. Prior to that game against Los Angeles, Thompson was averaging only 3.8 rebounds on 6.7 rebound chances in February.
Charlotte isn’t a great rebounding team, but this number is simply too high from a probabilistic perspective considering the lack of consistent opportunity Thompson has had on the glass.
Jimmy Butler UNDER 19.5 Points (-120, DraftKings)
Butler has made a positive impact on the Warriors since being traded in early February, but he hasn’t exactly made a concerted effort to look for his shot. In 7 games, he has only attempted more than 12 shots twice. Tonight, he draws a tough road matchup against an Orlando team that ranks 6th in defensive rating across their last 8 contests. This could be a tough spot for Butler to generate much offense, especially considering that the Magic do a good job defending without fouling.
