NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, February 29, 2024
- Clint Capela Over/Under 9.5 Rebounds
- Stephen Curry Over/Under 27.5 Points
- Duncan Robinson Over/Under 13.5 Points
Clint Capela Over/Under 9.5 Rebounds
On Tuesday, Capela secured 13 rebounds in 25 minutes against the Jazz, marking his 5th game with 10+ rebounds in his last 7 games, dating back to before he was injured. Capela ended the night with 19 rebound chances and now has at least 18 rebound chances in 2 of his 3 games since returning to the floor. His 25 minutes also represent his largest workload since pre-injury, offering hope that he’s finally returning to game-level conditioning. The Nets rank 25th in rebound percentage and 22nd in opponent rebounds per game in February, which makes this a favorable matchup. Three separate centers have recorded at least 18 rebound chances against the Nets in the last 3 weeks; Capela should have more than enough opportunity tonight to make this a worthwhile wager.
- PICK: Capela OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-140), bet365
Stephen Curry Over/Under 27.5 Points
The Knicks have been struggling to defend opposing guards of late, but Curry has been having his own issues since the All-Star Break. In his last 3 games, Curry has not shot better than 35.7% from the field, better than 27.3% from the 3-point line, and he hasn’t scored more than 20 points, despite facing two bottom-feeder teams in that stretch. Often, it’s wise to bet on a player to experience positive regression with their shot after an unusually poor stretch of inefficiency. However, head coach Steve Kerr questioned whether or not Curry is dealing with fatigue following the All-Star Break. Curry definitely hasn’t done anything to invalidate those public comments by his head coach. We will continue hitting his unders until he proves to us that we should stop.
- PICK: Curry UNDER 27.5 Points (-105), FanDuel
Duncan Robinson Over/Under 13.5 Points
Robinson doesn’t have the extreme home/away splits that many role players experience, but he has a tough matchup tonight, and the return of Terry Rozier could eat into his volume. Even with an expanded role for much of February, Robinson is only averaging 13.9 points per game this month, and he’s scored fewer than 14 points in 3 of his 8 games. Now that Jimmy Butler is healthy and back on the floor, and with Rozier also joining the team, Robinson is likely to see his volume diminish. The under has some value here.
- PICK: Robinson UNDER 13.5 Points (-110), BetMGM
