NBA Player Props for Tuesday, 12/16: Best Bets & Predictions Today

What kind of performances can we expect from OG Anunoby, Victor Wembanyama, and Karl-Anthony Towns? Follow along as our NBA betting analyst, Nick Galaida, breaks down three of his favorite NBA prop bets for Tuesday, December 16th. Tonight, the Spurs and Knicks will meet in Las Vegas for the NBA Cup Championship. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on Prime Video and is the only NBA game on tap for Tuesday.
Perhaps the best news of the day is that neither team has any particularly notable names on the NBA injury report ahead this evening’s action. Victor Wembanyama returned for San Antonio’s semifinal matchup against Oklahoma City and is good to go for tonight. The Knicks have ruled out Miles McBride and Landry Shamet, but they have all of their key contributors available.
As always, keep an eye on the status of key players as we get closer to game time, and be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Tuesday, December 16th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 PM ET on Tuesday, December 16th:
- OG Anunoby Over/Under 4.5 Rebounds
- Victor Wembanyama Over/Under 30.5 Points + Rebounds
- Karl-Anthony Towns Over/Under 21.5 Points
OG Anunoby OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-150, BetMGM)
This season, Anunoby has recorded 6 rebounds in each of the 4 games he has played without Miles McBride. He’s had 8, 9, 10, and 10 rebound chances in those contests.
According to our RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, Anunoby is averaging 5.5 rebounds per 36 minutes this year with McBride off of the floor. The math favors the over, especially if Anunoby sees closer to 40 minutes in a quasi-playoff game.
Victor Wembanyama UNDER 30.5 Points + Rebounds (-125, BetMGM)
Wembanyama was extraordinarily productive in his return to the floor on Saturday against the Thunder, but he still amassed only 22 points and 9 rebounds due to his workload restrictions. Wembanyama will likely play more than 21 minutes tonight, but there is no guarantee that he takes anywhere close to 12 free throws against a New York defense that does a good job defending without fouling.
If Wembanyama is not extremely efficient with his shot and rebound chances this evening, it’s going to be tough for him to clear this number.
Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 21.5 Points (-102, DraftKings)
In 6 NBA Cup games, Towns is averaging 22.0 points in 34.3 minutes. This past Saturday against the Magic, Towns played 37 minutes in the Knicks’ semifinal contest. It stands to reason that he could see close to 40 minutes once again this evening in a competitive game script.
San Antonio is strong defensively, but Towns should have plenty of volume this evening if he sees north of 35 minutes. This could be good value for a player who is averaging 22.4 points per game this season.
