NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, January 21, 2025
- Karl-Anthony Towns Over/Under 23.5 Points
- Jakob Poeltl Over/Under 10.5 Rebounds
- Kelly Oubre Over/Under 6.5 Rebounds
Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 23.5 Points (-105, DraftKings)
Towns and the Knicks played last night, but a lack of rest hasn’t been an issue for the big man in the Big Apple this season. Towns has played 5 games on 0 days rest this season and has scored 24+ points in each of those games.
This evening, he gets to face a Nets team that ranks 27th in defensive rating across their last 8 games. The Nets have been particularly vulnerable against centers, allowing the 6th-most field goal attempts and the 3rd-highest field goal percentage to the position in that span.
Assuming a somewhat competitive game script, Towns, who is averaging 25.1 points per game this season, should have a good chance to get the job done here.
Jakob Poeltl UNDER 10.5 Rebounds (+105, bet365)
Poeltl enters play having cleared this market number in fewer than half of his games this season. Tonight, he has a tough matchup against an Orlando team that plays at an extremely slow pace and does a fairly good job keeping centers off of the glass.
Across their last 8 games, Orlando has allowed the 10th-fewest rebounds to centers while playing at the 3rd-slowest pace in the NBA. This is good value on Poeltl to record fewer than 11 rebounds.
Kelly Oubre UNDER 6.5 Rebounds (-154, DraftKings)
Simply, this is a very tall number for Oubre, who has 7+ rebounds in only 9 of 27 games this season with Joel Embiid unavailable. Paul George is officially listed as questionable, but Oubre has only gone over this market number in 4 of 14 games in which both Embiid and George have been inactive.
According to CourtIQ, Oubre is averaging only 6.1 rebounds per 36 minutes this season with Embiid off of the floor and only 5.8 rebounds per 36 minutes with both Embiid and George off of the floor. The math favors the under.
