Tuesday’s 6-game NBA slate will be highlighted by a doubleheader on Peacock beginning with the Heat against the Timberwolves, followed by the Mavericks against the Kings.
It’s another busy day on the NBA injury report, with stars like Donovan Mitchell and Austin Reaves already ruled out. Victor Wembanyama is officially listed as questionable, and Ja Morant is doubtful as of this writing.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Tuesday, January 6th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Tuesday, January 6th:
- Klay Thompson Over/Under 14.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Paolo Banchero Over/Under 26.5 Points
- Darius Garland Over/Under 24.5 Points
Klay Thompson OVER 14.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-118, BetMGM)
This season, Thompson has played 5 games with PJ Washington inactive, logging 23+ minutes in 4 of those contests. The lone exception was a 21-point blowout at the hands of the Thunder.
According to our RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, Thompson is averaging 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per 23 minutes with Washington off of the floor this year. Facing a Sacramento team that ranks 28th in defensive rating across their last 8 games should provide Thompson with plenty of quality looks at the basket this evening. Anything he adds on the glass or as a facilitator will only help the cause here.
Paolo Banchero UNDER 26.5 Points (-109, DraftKings)
According to our RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, Banchero is averaging only 21.7 points per 36 minutes this season with both Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner off of the floor. On the surface, this appears to be a great matchup for Banchero against the Wizards, but this is a team that has quietly been making some progress on the defensive end of the floor of late.
Washington has also been pretty solid defending around the paint and in the middle range in recent weeks, areas of the floor that Banchero likes to shoot from. It could be tough for Banchero to flirt with 30 points tonight, especially on the road.
Darius Garland UNDER 24.5 Points (-113, DraftKings)
According to our RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, Garland is averaging only 24.5 points per 36 minutes this season with Donovan Mitchell off of the floor, and part of that sample includes minutes in which Evan Mobley was also off of the floor.
In reality, Garland projects closer to 22 or 23 points in this matchup, with a healthy Evan Mobley commanding quite a few shot attempts alongside him. Garland has also been consistently less efficient on the road than at home throughout the course of his career, which also favors the under.
