NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, January 7, 2025

Mark Williams OVER 12.5 Points (-108, Bally)

Mark Williams has scored 20+ in 5 games this season, scoring at least 11 points in each of those games, including 3 games with 16+ points. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against the Suns, who have had difficulties stopping players from scoring around the rim of late.

Williams attempts nearly all of his field goals from the restricted area or the paint. Phoenix ranks 19th in opponent field goal percentage on such attempts across their last 10 games and has allowed the 8th-most free throw attempts in the league during that span. If Williams can stay out of foul trouble this evening, he should have every opportunity to get the job done.

Max Christie OVER 8.5 Points (-135, BetMGM)

Max Christie has started to carve out a larger role for himself on the Lakers, playing a season-high 39 minutes this past Sunday against the Rockets. It marked the 7th consecutive game in which he’s played at least 28 minutes.

This season, Christie has scored 9+ points in 10 of 14 games in which he’s played at least 28 minutes, including 6 of 8 road contests. Tonight, he gets to face a Dallas team that ranks 18th in defensive rating and 10th in pace since Luka Doncic last played on December 25. Christie should have his chances on Tuesday, giving this play good value.

Kevin Durant OVER 25.5 Points (-110, Bet365)

Kevin Durant has been uncharacteristically passive on the offensive end of the floor to begin January, attempting only 14 shots in each of his last 2 games. That could change this evening, facing a Charlotte team that has struggled to defend opposing forwards. Across their last 10 games, the Hornets have allowed the 10th-most field goal attempts per game to opposing forwards and far more free throw attempts than the league average. Durant averaged 20.4 field goal attempts per game in December. He should see more volume tonight, making this a decent buy-low spot for bettors.
