Following last night’s exciting NBA Cup finale, the league returns to regularly scheduled programming this evening with a 2-game slate, with both games tipping-off at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Even on a light night of action, the NBA injury report is littered with notable names. As of this writing, Anthony Edwards and Ja Morant are listed as questionable. Evan Mobley, Cam Spencer, and Mike Conley have been ruled out.
Per usual, keep an eye on the status of key players as we get closer to game time, and be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, December 17th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 PM ET on Wednesday, December 17th:
- Jarrett Allen Over/Under 9.5 Rebounds
- Coby White Over/Under 21.5 Points
- Anthony Edwards Over/Under 1.5 Steals
Jarrett Allen UNDER 9.5 Rebounds (-130, bet365)
Allen played only 23 minutes in his return from injury on Sunday against the Hornets, totaling 3 rebounds on only 10 rebound chances. Even before he got hurt, Allen’s rebounding numbers had regressed compared to last season.
In 15 games prior to getting hurt, Allen was averaging only 7.6 rebounds and 13.3 rebound chances. Assuming he’s once again capped at around 25 minutes, there simply isn’t much upside for Allen on the glass.
Coby White UNDER 21.5 Points (-104, FanDuel)
White is averaging 21.7 points per game this season, but his playing time has trailed off of late, not logging more than 30 minutes in any game during December. Consequently, his production has taken a hit too – averaging only 18.5 points.
White took 18 shots against the Pelicans this past Sunday but hadn’t taken more than 15 shots in any of his prior 3 games. He’s not the most efficient scorer, so any drop-off in volume is going to make it difficult for him to consistently score north of 20 points.
Anthony Edwards OVER 1.5 Steals (+174, FanDuel)
Edwards hasn’t had a big night in the steals department in a few weeks, but he had a stretch during November in which he had multiple steals in 6 consecutive games. Tonight, the Timberwolves will host the Grizzlies – a team that has the 7th-highest turnover percentage in the NBA across their last 8 games.
Defensive counting statistics can be rather unpredictable, but if you’re looking for a fun stab on tonight’s small 2-game slate, it could be worthwhile to sweat out some defensive possessions for the Timberwolves.
