Happy Saturday Grinders! Its time yet again for the Weekend Primer. The “main” slate today is actually a Single Game (FD)/ Showdown (DK) so the article will evolve yet again. We will focus on plays, but I also want to include a bit of strategy as well. I want to kick this off a bit by saying that initially, I wasn’t a big fan of the Single Game/Showdown slates, but as my gameplay has evolved I’ve developed somewhat of an appreciation for them.

The initial reason why I wasn’t a big fan initially was that there will probably be a split of the first place prize. Keep in mind that if there is a tie it would be evenly divided between the 1st-however many places tied. Once I was able to get past this particular part of the game I discovered that you can still make some really good money if you have the right strategy in place. This is the one contest where I am an advocate for multi-entry, so I am definitely encouraging you to play more than a single bullet. It’s not impossible to pull it off, but I just think having more than one bullet in the chamber for these contests gives you the best chance for success. This also does not mean that you have to play 150 lineups, it just means you will need a little diversity in the right places which may require a few extra. If you know my personality by now you know this is not a brag, but I have taken down a few showdown slates with just 5-10 lineups. This is just to encourage you that it can be done.
