Wednesday, May 9th
There’s just one game on the schedule tonight as Boston tries and close out their series with Philadelphia at home. They are modest favorites. The big news of the day is T.J. McConnell is expected to start after having a massive hand in helping lead Philly to victory in Game 4. He’s the top point per dollar play on FanDuel and 2nd behind Marco Belinelli on DraftKings. I expect his ownership to be through the roof though, so bear that into mind when trying to differentiate your lineups on a one game DFS contest. As I have been doing, I’m going to again focus purely on numbers to help you build your lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings. I’ve included minutes history/projections and fantasy point projections for both FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a pretty thorough look that should help you get the edge on those just throwing lineups together haphazardly. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
A couple notes about the projections for FanDuel and DraftKings. My projections are determined based on a normalized fantasy points per games that weights more heavily most recent production. I then calculate a defensive factor based upon matchups and multiply projected minutes times fantasy points per minute times that defensive factor to come up with my projection. Today, I’ve included the normalized fantasy points per minute and defensive factor values so you can see where my projected values came from. S1 Proj is a well known competitor’s projections. RG projections are the RotoGrinders projections. The average is just that… the average of the three projected values. Points per dollar is calculated from that average.
