NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Friday (1/10)

Williams of the Nets

I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.

Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.

We have 7 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/10. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Friday evening.

First… Sign Up to Make NBA PrizePicks Picks

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.

I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Nets vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Nets vs. Nuggets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Ziaire Williams Less Than 13.5 Points

Over his last 20 games, he has averaged just 8.55 points, surpassing 13.5 points in only 15% of those contests. This trend holds steady over his last 10 games, where he has averaged 9.1 points with a 20% hit rate. His season average of 9.16 points further highlights his difficulty in reaching 13.5 points, as he has only done so in 20% of his 25 games.

Cameron Johnson is out again, but our projections still show this with a 4.41% edge and a 63.27% hit rate.

Kings vs. Celtics NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Kings vs. Celtics NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

DeMar DeRozan More Than 20.5 Points

DeRozan scoring more than 20.5 points tonight is a solid pick based on his recent performances and role with the Sacramento Kings. While his recent averages over the last 10 games (17.1 points) and last 5 games (20.6 points) are slightly below or around the projection, his performance in road games this season has been strong, averaging 24.23 points with a 76.92% hit rate for more than 20.5 points.

Our projections show this with a 2.61% edge and 60.70% hit rate.

Wizards vs. Bulls NBA PrizePicks Predictions

Here are the Wizards vs. Bulls NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:

Patrick Williams More Than 10.0 Points

Over his last 10 games, he has averaged 10.4 points, surpassing 10.0 points in 60% of those contests. At home, Williams has a 58.33% success rate for more than 10.0 points, and the Wizards’ defense against forwards has been below average. While his last 5 games show a slight dip in scoring, his overall trends and the defensive matchup suggest he is well-positioned to exceed 10.0 points tonight.

Our projections show this with a 1.18% edge and a 58.91% hit rate. While this edge isn’t huge, it’s still +EV when combined with two other projections.
