NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions for Monday (1/13)
I’m here to share a few of my (free!) top picks for today’s NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most of these predictions are heavily based on our projections.
Be mindful of the fact that the news cycle in the NBA is fluid, so the picks below may become more or less appealing depending on player availability. But rest assured that our NBA DFS projections team is making updates as soon as news breaks.
We have 6 games on the schedule as the NBA is set to tip off on 1/13. Below, I’ll detail how I’m approaching things on PrizePicks this Monday evening.

If you want to play along but haven’t signed up yet, grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry! PrizePicks – one of the most popular DFS pick’em sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry.
I’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how NBA players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. Spurs vs. Lakers NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Spurs vs. Lakers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Austin Reaves More Than 18.5 Points
Reaves is a strong pick to score more than 18.5 points tonight against the Spurs. Over his last 10 games, he’s averaged 21.1 points, hitting this mark in 60% of those contests. His recent form is even more impressive, with a 21.2-point average in his last 5 games. The Spurs have a middling DVA in our tool vs. guards as well.
With his consistent scoring and unimposing matchup, Reaves is well-positioned to deliver a strong performance.
Our NBA projections show this with a 2.31% edge and a 60.05% win rate.
Grizzlies vs. Rockets NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Grizzlies vs. Rockets NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Alperen Sengun More Than 21.5 Points
In their last meeting, Sengun exploded for 32 points, dominating Memphis’ defense. Over his last 5 games, he’s averaged 21.8 points, hitting this mark in 60% of those contests. With the Rockets riding a 3-game winning streak and Sengun playing a pivotal role offensively, he’s in excellent form. Facing a Memphis team that struggled to contain him recently, Sengun eclipsing this projection seems reasonable.
Our NBA projections show this with a 1.32% edge and a 59.05% win rate. While this edge isn’t huge, it is still +EV when combined with two other entries.
Heat vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks Predictions
Here are the Heat vs. Clippers NBA PrizePicks predictions for tonight:
Haywood Highsmith More Than 5.5 Points
With Jimmy Butler out, Highsmith has seen increased minutes and opportunities, stepping up as a decent role player for the Heat. His usage hasn’t been anything to write home about, but clearing 5.5 points is a low bar. He’s averaging 6.9 points this season in 25 minutes per game, with efficient shooting percentages of 48.6% from the field and 41% from three. And without Butler his season, he is averaging 8.1 points and 28.1 minutes per game.
